Like the early natives, traveling across the plain
I see those five young bodies,
quiet and un named.
Heads held high like mountains
they walk strong and tall
and I found them, I found them all.
Trees crowd the surface
of this majestic wood,
silent and stiff-
with muddy boots they stood.
Trudging down the riverside,
they just want to get it right.
Carrying their heavy hearts
well into the night.
Stepping above the water,
they try not to fall
and I found them, I found them all.
Holding onto their secrets,
they do not tell a soul
and onward into the forest-
they walk tall and bold.
...aren't we all just looking for a reason to feel whole?
I see those five young bodies,
quiet and un named.
Heads held high like mountains
they walk strong and tall
and I found them, I found them all.
Trees crowd the surface
of this majestic wood,
silent and stiff-
with muddy boots they stood.
Trudging down the riverside,
they just want to get it right.
Carrying their heavy hearts
well into the night.
Stepping above the water,
they try not to fall
and I found them, I found them all.
Holding onto their secrets,
they do not tell a soul
and onward into the forest-
they walk tall and bold.
...aren't we all just looking for a reason to feel whole?
